If you’re over 45, I KNOW you might have noticed this phenomenon…..very few advertisers and media outlets are speaking to you as an ‘athlete’ or ‘potential athlete’ anymore. Whoa, when did that happen?
It appears that ‘athletic women’ are only viable and visible when they are size 8/10 wearing a crop top with a high ass that one can bounce a coin off!
When talk of ‘fitness’ comes around for Midlife and Beyond (MAB), for many women and professionals, it can start and finish at the ESSENTIALS such as bone health, menopause, metabolic syndrome and heart health………ALL SUPER IMPORTANT but……….making the aformentioned issues the sole or primary reasons for movement is pretty depressing to most women as a starting conversation! It’s probably why women wait too late to address their Pelvic, Bone and Heart Health…..Women see that starkly-presented language and they think…..”OK, it seems I’m a ticking time bomb, with a one-way ticket to nowhere’s ville…..better do some exercise so I can at least die a bit slower nd dodge a dreaded fall which for sure is guaranteed to carry me away even quicker!!”
So, what happens to those of us who feel they’ve still got a LOT of gas still in the tank for LIFE? Or those who desperately want to get back to moving, get back to being STRONG? Who’s talking to us? Who’s keeping us excited about our movement potential and making the ‘gainz’ that are actually more valuable and important than ever now?
How about we flip this conversation? And we start doing all the essential and vital stuff we’ve got to do and are grateful to do but with an empowered and utterly ‘athlete state of mind’?
How about we add a little bit of competitive spirit to the proceedings and make it a challenge BY US, FOR US!?
How about we create a Global Midlife Movement Competition for Women where you build a strong, hot body and have the potential to earn some HOT PRIZES?
How about we immerse ourselves in deep positivity and gratitude for living for half a century and actually appreciating where we are in our lives and FINALLY stop comparing ourselves to women 25 years our junior. How about we define ‘fitness’ for ourselves and stop kicking ourselves in the ASS for not maintaining our former athletic glory that we achieved 25 years ago?

Round 2: Monday 4th March, 2019 until Friday 22nd March, 2019 – FREE OPEN ENTRY – ANYONE CAN JOIN IN AT ANY TIME
Round 3: Monday 25th March, 2019 until Friday 12th April, 2019 – Maximum of TOP 100 Participants – ENTRY FEE: £10 – TOP 10 Win a Ticket to Woman on Fire 2019 and a place in the Grand Final. with a prize of £=THE TOTAL ENTRY FEE POT!
Grand Final Weekend: LIVE at Woman on Fire 2019! Where the FINAL TOP 10 go head-to-head for the title of: ‘POWER YEARS ATHLETE OF THE YEAR 2019’ and the winner takes the prize of THE TOTAL ENTRY FEE POT from Round 3 ie., potentially up to £1000!
